We have a great community service opportunity for 30 Lacrosse boys to volunteer at the Children's Hospital Cancer Center January, 21 from 1-3 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon and spend some fun time playing with the kids.
Each Volunteer Student will receive 2 to 3 Mullen Service hours for this project.
Look for Diana Nelson in the Lobby. Please arrive at 12:45 at the Hospital Atrium. The Mullen Lacrosse team will stay in the Atrium and the children would be brought down to play.
Our very own Lacrosse Parent, Diana Nelson will donate art and science kits, dolls, and books, and many other fabulous toys from her store, Kazoo Toys< www.kazootoys.com >, for the boys to play with the children. Kathleen at Children's stated that Mullen has done this with the hospital in the past but NOT with the lacrosse team and is looking forward to working with us and would love to see this on an annual basis.
No latex, bubbles, and Playdough are allow due to strict hygiene regulations when around children with cancer. Please if you are sick, do not attend this event. Registered volunteers, please notify Mrs. Diana Nelson if you can not attend due to illness or other reasons at DianaNelson@mullenlax.com
